What about covering yourself and your scanner with a large dark
blanket and shinning a torch behind your slides. . .
Maybe not :)
A while back I had the local Jessops shop scan me some 35mm slides and
put 'em on a zip disk for me. They charged about a quid for each
slide, which seemed reasonable.
